New @GoNUmbasketball commit: 6’8” F Haris Elezovic!
NU has found their center in a P5 transfer from their Canadian pipeline. Elezovic started his career at Megill U in Canada, where he posted 14/10/1.5 season averages as a soph, including 17/11/4 vs FSU & 15/13/1 vs. Oregon
West Virginia 6-8 forward Haris Elezovic has commited to Northeastern, his agent @peteyannopoulos from @AthletesInPower Sports Management told @TheFieldOf68.
I see the Huskies, but where are the basketball hoops?
(Glad to be watching @GoNUbaseball from the stands at Monmouth!)
New @GoNUmbasketball commit: incoming freshman 6’5”
SF/SG Miles Newton (@MilessNewton) from Eden Prairie, MN!
Miles is the son of Bucks Assistant GM and colligate national champ (as a player at Kansas) Milt Newton
News: Class of ‘25 guard Miles Newton (@MilessNewton) has committed to @GoNUmbasketball.
Newton is a 6’5” guard out of Minnesota. An offer was reported a few days ago, now a commitment. He’ll be the third incoming freshman commit, and Northeastern’s roster sits at 11
New @GoNUmbasketball transfer commit: 6'8" PF Xander Alaire!
Alaire, who attended the same HS in Maryland as the departing Masai Troutman, redshirted last year at Miami.
His father, Mark Alaire, was 3x All-ACC at Duke in the 80s and played 5 years in the NBA
News: Miami transfer Xander Alarie (@x_alarie) has committed to Northeastern, per his Instagram
The 6’8” Alarie arrives with four years of eligibility remaining. Projects as a combo forward
Masai Troutman is off to George Mason, as NU loses another member of their 2022 freshman class.
Troutman was a game-changer for the Huskies when healthy, but missed most of 2024-25 after being named to a preseason all-conference team
Best of luck to him in the A10
George Mason has landed Northeastern transfer Masai Troutman, he told @TheFieldOf68.
The 6-4 junior guard averaged 13.5 points per game this past season and shot 40 percent from 3.
Harold Woods is headed to Incarnate Word for his senior season.
Woods arrived at @GoNUmbasketball without much fanfare, but started his game as a freshman, became a double-digit ppg player as a soph, and averaged 7 reb + 2.5 ast as a jr
Best of luck next year to him
Let’s work‼️
Rashad King (@rashadking35) is off to LSU for his senior season. Best of luck in the bayou and thanks for everything at NU 🫡

Officially confirmed: @GoNUmbasketball snags their 1st transfer of the season: 6’4” G Mike Loughnane!
Loughnane avgd 5/2/2.5 on 37% 3pt shooting for Davidson last year as a soph
He follows in the footsteps of his father, Bill, who played for Jim Calhoun’s Huskies from 1976-80
Thanks for my family, friends, and the Northeastern coaching staff for this opportunity. #Huskies
A big-time portal get for NU appears imminent! Loughnane should step right in at NU's vacant starting guard spot thanks to his 4 assists per 40 min & proficient 3pt shooting in the A10.
His father, Bill, played at NU from 1976-1980, teaming with Pete Harris, Perry Moss, & more
Davidson’s Mike Loughnane is trending towards a transfer to Northeastern, per multiple sources. The 6’4” guard started 32 games for the Wildcats in 24-25, shooting over 37% from three. Not a done deal yet. @IgorMilavic had it first
Yet another portal entry for @GoNUmbasketball. Collin Metcalf was a shot-altering menace in the paint for NU this season & made the CAA All-Defense team.
And with that, all 6 players from Bill Coen’s 2022 freshman class are gone, none of them reaching their senior season at NU.
Northeastern junior Collin Metcalf has entered the transfer portal.
The 6’9” center started 29/32 games, averaging 4.0 points on 59% FG, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks (#10 in the country) per game.
Jared Turner, who opted to sit out the 2024-25 season, leaves @GoNUmbasketball for Old Dominion. Turner maintains two years of eligibility at his new school.
Former Northeastern standout Jared Turner has officially committed to Old Dominion. Turner left the Huskies before the 2024-25 season, preserving two years of eligibility. His size (6’9”) plus a marksman’s three-point aim makes him one to watch. Best of luck @Jared_Turner13
Rashad King enters the portal for @GoNUmbasketball. King grew into a superstar last season, making 1st Team All-CAA and leading the Huskies in points and minutes.
Best of luck to @rashadking35 at his next school. He’ll always be remembered on Huntington Ave.
Thank you!
Another big portal loss for NU, as this time @GoNUwbasketball’s Abby Jegede enters the portal. Jegede was the brightest spot for the Huskies during a lost season this year. A lot of work to do to replace her production.
.@GoNUwbasketball redshirt sophomore G Abby Jegede will enter the transfer portal, via @TaliaGoodmanWBB. Jegede, who transferred to Northeastern last year after playing one season at Villanova, led the Huskies in scoring with 15.8 PPG during the 2024-25 campaign.
A second portal entry has hit @GoNUmbasketball. Troutman was preseason All-CAA before this year, but never got a chance to meet his full potential due to injury.
Best of luck to him next season.
NEWS: Northeastern guard Masai Troutman is entering the transfer, he told @LeagueRDY.
Troutman is a junior from Frederick, Maryland who just wrapped up his third season at Northeastern. Played in only 13 games this season due to injury.
Averaged 13.5PPG in 24-25. Shot 39.6%…
First @GoNUmbasketball portal entry. Harold Woods grew from an unknown recruit to a huge piece of the Huskies gameplan in his 3 years on Huntington Ave.
Best of luck to him at his next school. One year of eligibility remaining.
Northeastern guard Harold Woods plans on entering the transfer portal, he tells @SeanPaulCBB of @TheFieldOf68.
Woods, a 6-5 guard averaged 11.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg and shot 45% from the field.
Huskies can’t get it done in crunch time, despite numerous chances. They fail to make the quarterfinals of the CAA tournament for the 4th consecutive year.
Hopefully, this isn’t the last ride for the current Huskies core, but with the portal, you never know.
Congrats to @rashadking35- the first @GoNUmbasketball All-CAA 1st Team player since Tyson Walker in 2021
And to @collin03123762- the first NU CAA All-Defense player also since Tyson Walker in 2021
His value to Northeastern Basketball this season cannot be understated.
Congratulations to Rashad King, an All-CAA First Team selection!
With Northeastern and Drexel both winning their games today, the Huskies are now guaranteed to finish no worse than the 8 seed.
